Getting started

What does Papergale do?

We research and write social media posts for your business, or for you if you post as yourself, and deliver them finished: the words for each channel and the pictures beside them. We email you when a post is ready, and it waits for you in Posts.

You read each post and decide what happens to it. Nothing is posted to your accounts unless you press Post now or confirm a schedule for that post.

Open Posts

Is the first post free?

Yes, while the offer is open. A new account gets one free post, and no card is needed to start. There is one free post per person and one per business or social account.

When the day's free posts are gone, or the offer is paused, a new account starts with a plan instead. A free post we have already started for you is still delivered.

Your free post includes one repair. After it, a plan keeps posts coming.

What do you need from me?

For a business: its name and website. If you post as yourself: your name, the platform and handle you post on, one to three topics, and a few sentences about what you post and who it is for.

We read your site or profile to learn what you do, and nothing is posted anywhere while we do. What we learned is in Business context, for you to confirm or correct.

Your posts

What is in a post?

A post is one researched topic, finished for each channel your plan covers. On Instagram it is a carousel of slides with a caption and hashtags; on LinkedIn and Facebook, a written post; on X, a thread.

The pictures come on the slides, and every post lists the sources its facts came from, so you can open each one.

Open Posts

How are posts checked?

Every post is held to one rule: no source, no claim. What a post says about your business comes from your own site. Its other facts come from public sources it names, listed beside the post.

A separate factual review reads each post before it reaches you. A claim that cannot be traced is repaired, or the post does not arrive.

Photos come from the web. Each one is screened before it is used, and we keep a record of the page it came from. A check is not a guarantee, so read each post before you post it.

Open Posts

Can I change a post?

Yes. Open the post and edit any block of text yourself, or use Change it with a chat: say what to change in your own words, such as shorter, less formal, or a photo on the first slide, and you get a proposed revision to apply or discard.

The chat rewords, shortens or restyles what the post already says. A revision that adds a name, number, date or link the post does not have is refused. For pictures, ask for a photo, a different photo, or none.

Your edits, typed or applied from the chat, are not fact-checked, so read the change before you apply it. Only an owner or admin of the workspace can change a post.

What if a post is wrong, or I don't like it?

Press Repair and say in a sentence what is wrong. Repairs never count against your plan, and neither do drafts that fail our checks. You can also press I don't like this to tell us.

While a repair is pending, or after you say you don't like a post, it cannot be posted from Papergale.

Posting

Do you post for me?

No. A post reaches your social account only when you press Post now, or when you confirm a schedule for that post, on an account you connected. Connecting an account posts nothing, and you can disconnect at any time.

If you change a scheduled post, or ask for a repair, the schedule stops and you schedule it again. The calendar suggests times and never posts.

Open Settings, Connected accounts

How do I connect an account and post?

Open Settings and, under Connected accounts, connect the accounts you want to post to, then choose which pages or profiles Papergale may use. Settings shows the networks you can connect.

Then open a post and press Post now, or Schedule and pick the date, time and time zone. Before anything is sent, you see the exact text, pictures, account and time to confirm.

A personal profile can be posted to only by the person who connected it.

Open Settings, Connected accounts

Can I post without connecting an account?

Yes. Every post can be copied, or downloaded with its slides, and posted by hand. On a phone, sharing opens your phone's share sheet with the pictures, and the text is copied for you to paste.

Plans and billing

What do the plans cost?

Presence is $99 a month for up to 16 posts, up to 4 a week, on 2 channels. Growth is $149 a month for up to 30 posts, up to 7 a week, on up to 4 channels. Authority is $249 a month for up to 60 posts, up to 14 a week, on up to 4 channels.

Prices are in US dollars, and tax is added at checkout where it applies, shown before you pay. Plans renew every month until you cancel. Agency is arranged with us directly.

Only delivered posts that pass our checks count against your plan. Posts you do not use in a month do not carry over.

Open Usage & plan

How do I move to a bigger plan?

Open Usage & plan and choose Change plan. A bigger plan starts today with its full month of posts: a new period begins, and you pay the new plan's month minus the unused part of the old one, plus any tax.

You see the exact amount before you confirm. If the payment does not go through, your plan stays as it was.

Open Usage & plan

How do I move to a smaller plan?

Choose Change plan in Usage & plan and pick the smaller plan. Nothing is charged now: you keep your current plan and its posts until your next renewal, when the smaller plan starts. You can undo it before then.

Open Usage & plan

How do I cancel?

In Usage & plan, choose Cancel plan. Your plan stays active, and posts keep coming, until the end of the period you paid for. After that you are not charged again. You can also cancel at link.com.

Nothing is refunded for the rest of the period, except where the law requires it. Until the period ends, you can keep your plan with Keep my plan.

Open Usage & plan

Where are my invoices and card?

In Usage & plan, Manage billing opens Stripe's billing page, with your invoices and payment method. Plans are sold through Link, Stripe's merchant-of-record service, which sends your receipts. We never see your card number.

If a renewal payment fails, new posts pause until it goes through. Only the workspace owner can change or cancel the plan.

Your account and data

Can my team use the same workspace?

Yes. Invite people from Members and give each one a role: owner, admin or member. Only an owner or admin can change a post, and only the workspace owner can change or cancel the plan.

What do you keep about me, and how do I delete it?

We keep your email address, what you tell us about your business or yourself, and the posts we make for you. The privacy notice lists everything we keep, why, and who handles it.

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to contact@papergale.com. If you ask us never to contact you again, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list, because that list is how we keep the promise.

How do I opt out of advertising pixels?

Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we honour without your visiting that page.
